Services & Treatment

"Communication is the essence of human life."
-Janice Light
Speech & Language Evaluation

We provide comprehensive and individualized speech and language evalutions. Evaluations include informal and formal measures including norm-referenced, criterion-referenced, and standardized testing. Assessments take place in the home and include the client and family. A written report with test scores, recommendations, and goals is provided. Different tests are selected to look at the specific areas of concern, based on age and developmental levels. Findings are reviewed with clients and caregivers to help make a therapy plan for the client. All new clients without prior or recent evaluations must participate in an initial evaluation.

Speech & Language Therapy

Therapy is provided in the comfort of the client's home. In a natural setting, family-centered, individualized treatment is provided to clients and their families. Services are provided around the needs of the client and the family. We use a play-based model and follow the child's lead in a pediatric setting. Caregiver involvement is frequently encouraged to carry-over learned skills to daily activities in different environments. Functional communication is targeted in an adult and pediatric setting. Collaboration and coordination with other contributing medical professionals (i.e., occupational therapy, physical therapy, pediatricians, etc.) is used to ensure an integrated and comprehensive treatment program for our clients.

Feeding & Swallowing Evaluation & Therapy

We provide an extensive oral feeding, swallowing, and mealtime preparation assessment to aide families in understanding their child's feeding problems and train them on the necessary techniques to advance their child's feeding skills. Treatment offers a highly successful method for integrated treatment of infants and young children with challenging feeding disorders using sensory, oral motor, biomedical and
environmental strategies. Using a step-by-step approach, children learn to explore food, enjoy eating, and participate independently in social mealtimes.
